The Rocky Mountains of Colorado offer thousands of miles of breathtaking hiking trails. When you camp at Castle Rock RV Park and Campground, you have easy access to the myriad of hiking opportunities of the area, including:
Rocky Mountain National Park Hiking
Rocky Mountain National Park offers 355 miles of hiking trails for hikers and backpackers with wonders to be discovered year round for every level of hiking experience. Take a lakeside stroll or challenge yourself to a rugged climb to the awesome views from mountain peaks. Trail elevations vary from 7,000 to 12,000 feet, meaning you can see the diversity of life in the "high country." Winter snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are also popular.

Rocky Mountain National Park opens all of its roads to bike riders in the summer season. Morning biking trips provide spectacular views. In the winter, the park limits access to a few select roads. Guided Biking tours of Rocky Mountain National Park are available.

The Rocky Mountains of Colorado are a "treasure-seekers trove" with many geocaching opportunities. As a guest at Castle Rock RV Park and Campground, you'll enjoy easy access to a variety of geocaching opportunities, including 3 right here on our grounds!

We rent GPS units at the Welcome Center for a fun and challenging geocaching adventure during your stay. Cost for the GPS unit is $10.00 for 2 hours. We encourage guests to take something from the cache as a memento of their find and to trade even or trade up by leaving something a little more valuable for the next discovery. Inside each cache is a logbook to record your visit with a quick story or just your signature.
